Sedona is a beautiful vacation

Sedona, Arizona is one of the most beautiful resorts in the U.S..

It has been revered as a spiritual being magnificent shelter since prehistoric times. Native Americans have come to Sedona for their religious ceremonies, their spiritual awakenings, their rites of passage and their weddings of hundreds years. The first time you visit this beautiful valley with its awe-inspiring beauty, is understandable why it has been revered for so long.

The sandstone cliffs red rising a thousand feet above the valley floor. Buttes, mesas and pinnacles of rock throughout the valley instead. Everywhere the rocks have been eroded into fantastic shapes similar giant fortresses, towers, pinnacles, and other exotic faces.

The town of Sedona is in the midst of this scenic splendor surrounded by mountain streams cascade, lush green meadows, forests and hills all dominated by the imposing red rock formations.

The Grand Canyon, just 90 minutes drive to the north, is similar to Sedona, but on a much larger scale. Other geological attractions like Yosemite Valley are equally magnificent.

The climate is semi-arid, so it receives little rain or snow, but has an abundant supply of water from the nearby mountains. Summers are a bit milder winters and slightly cooler than the low altitude deserts near Phoenix.

Sedona is allegedly the location of several vortices that provide universal spiritual healing and enlightenment metaphysics. New Age advocates come to this beautiful valley for spiritual and physical rejuvenation. You can visit some of these vortices and sit on the rocks, absorbing the metaphysical energy sources. I personally think that a good bottle of wine helps. Shops and boutiques in the village to sell crystals, amulets Indian bracelets copper and spiritual equipment. Many of the resorts and spas offer yoga classes and various esoteric spiritual systems apart from the usual massages, facials and traditional treatments.

A wide selection of accommodation is available in the village of Sedona with some exclusive resorts in the canyons of nearby and some tourist cabins and camps along Oak Creek Canyon. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, boutiques and souvenir shops in Sedona. It has a small airport situated on a plateau overlooking the city. The airport offers a number of aircraft and helicopter in the area and a number limited charter flights to nearby places.

You can make plane rides, helicopter rides, balloon adventures, jeep tours, hiking Hummer or horseback riding in Sedona. There are numerous tourist adventures available in many tour operators in Sedona. If you are less inclined to adventure activities, the many resorts and spas will offer plenty of luxury. Some have golf courses, swimming pools and tennis courts in the very shadows of the spectacular cliffs red.

Shops and restaurants are also in favor of activities in Sedona. It offers many options in both. Designer shops, boutiques and restaurants quality abound in this small town. Some of them can be expensive, but there are plenty of alternatives moderately price too.
